UP Budget 2021-22: Ayodhya Airport to be named Maryada Purushottam Shriram Airport, 6 runways to be built in Jewar

The final budget of Yogi Adityanath Govt (UP Budget 2021-22) was presented in the UP Legislative Assembly. Finance Minister Suresh Khanna presented the first paperless budget of the Yogi government in the Vidhan Sabha. This is said to be the biggest budget of UP till date.
The government of Uttar Pradesh has made several big announcements in the budget. In which Ayodhya Airport will be known as Maryada Purushottam Shriram Airport. Apart from this, it has also been announced in the budget to build an international airport in Kushinagar. For the Ayodhya Airport, the state government has given an amount of 101 crores. In three years, the number of operational airports in Uttar Pradesh increased from 4 to 7.
There will be 4 international airports in UP
It has been decided to increase the number of airstrips at Jewar Airport from 2 to 6. A budget provision of Rs 2000 crore is proposed for this project. Kushinagar Airport has been declared an international airport by the Central Government. Thus soon 4 international airports in the state will be in Lucknow, Varanasi, Kushinagar and Gautam Buddha Nagar. Development of Aligarh, Azamgarh, Moradabad and Shravasti Airport is almost complete. At the same time, the work of Chitrakoot and Sonbhadra Airport will be completed by March 2021 .
