UP: Former Shia Central Waqf Board chairman Wasim Rizvi faces problems, driver's wife alleges rape

Uttar Pradesh Shia Central Waqf Board member and former chairman Wasim Rizvi has been accused of rape by his driver's wife. The woman reached Saadatganj Kotwali with several lawyers on Tuesday and demanded action against Waseem Rizvi.

The woman has also accused Rizvi of threatening her through obscene videos and photos. The police is investigating on the basis of the complaint given by the woman. The case is of Saadatganj, the capital of the state, Lucknow. Where the woman told that Wasim used to forcibly rape her by sending her driver husband out on the pretext of some work or the other.

When the woman protested, Rizvi used to threaten to make her obscene videos and photos viral. In such a situation, when the woman protested, Wasim used to threaten her and silence her. The woman told that when she could not bear it, she narrated the incident to her husband. When the woman's husband came to talk to Wasim, he was assaulted. The husband of the rape victim said that the accused Wasim was raping his wife for the last 6 months.

The driver was cheating with the enemies

At the same time, Wasim Rizvi has told that his driver was meeting his opponents and giving him information about his every movement. Opponents have been plotting a deep conspiracy against him since the case of him writing the Quran. Therefore, in view of his safety, he had fired the driver a few days ago. He said that the house which was given to the driver to live has also been vacated. Due to which, at the behest of the opponents, he has filed a complaint by falsely accusing his wife of rape.

Police is investigating the matter

Saadatganj police station in-charge told that the husband of the victim woman used to work as a driver at Waseem Rizvi's place. On Tuesday, his wife filed a complaint of rape against Wasim Rizvi. He said that this matter is very serious. Investigation is being done on the complaint of the woman. After the investigation of this matter, further action will be taken after registering a case.

Uttar Pradesh DGP Mukul Goel on Saturday ordered an inquiry against BR Meena, a 1997 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer. Senior police officials said that a Ghaziabad man accused Meena of harassing his daughter by calling her late at night.

UP Police, through its official Twitter handle, replied to the complainant that the UP DGP has asked Additional Director General of Police, Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) Headquarters, Ajay Anand to investigate the matter and submit the report to him at the earliest.

BR Meena is currently posted as Inspector General of Police, PAC, Eastern Zone in Prayagraj. Meena has not yet reacted to the allegations against her. State Police Spokesperson AN Tripathi said that more details will be given in the matter after the investigation is completed.

In the tweet, the officials assured the complainant that cognizance of his complaint has been taken and the matter is being investigated. The complainant has been asked to submit a written application in this regard to the Ghaziabad Police with all the details.

Complaint was made through tweet on July 30

The complainant, in a tweet dated July 30, had said that IG calls his daughter late and threatens her with different numbers. He demanded immediate intervention of the state government and tagged Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, DGP UP, IPS and IAS associations in his tweet. The complainant in his Twitter profile has described himself as a retired government official.
