According to Ved Prakash Verma, Additional Election Commissioner of UP Election Commission, this time one district has to have complete election in one go. Provision of compensation in case of accident
Additional Election Commissioner Ved Prakash Verma said that there is also a provision for compensation on behalf of the government on the death of the employee or due to disability due to any terrorist incident, booth capturing-riot incident during election duty. One lakh rupees in the event of death in an accident during training, voting or counting of votes in the 2017 civic elections, sudden accident while on duty such as militant violence, murder, bomb blasts, weapons attack A compensation of 20 lakh rupees is given on death.
Compensation amount will be fixed soon
In case of any similar accident during electoral duty, if the employee becomes disabled, there is a provision of compensation of Rs 10 lakh and Rs five lakh in the accident due to any other reason. This compensation amount will be fixed soon for the Panchayat elections this time.
