Uttar Pradesh: The danger of floods increased in these 16 districts of UP, rivers above the danger mark
It is raining continuously in the eastern region of Uttar Pradesh. In view of this, the risk of flood is increasing. 16 districts of UP are troubled by the water level of rivers. Many rivers are flowing above the danger mark. The water level of rivers is continuously rising. At the same time, the risk of floods is increasing due to continuous rain for several days. The districts have been asked to be alert by issuing an advisory from the Relief Department.
Lakhimpur Kheri, Bahraich, Shravasti, Balrampur, Gonda, Siddharthnagar, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Basti, Sant Kabirnagar, Ballia, Barabanki, Sitapur and Mau are the districts which are prone to floods. Rohini river is flowing above the danger mark at Trimohani Ghat in Gorakhpur. The water level of the river has also increased in Maharajganj and Siddharthnagar.
At the same time, Sharda, Ghaghra and Rapti rivers are also flowing up to the danger mark. The water level of these rivers is increasing continuously due to the recent rains. In view of the rising water level of rivers, the relief department has asked the districts to be ready.
It has been raining continuously for many days
