A viral video shows a goods train traveling from Kathua to Pathankot without a loco pilot before stopping close to Mukerian in Punjab

Punjab: A freight train without a loco pilot unexpectedly began to move owing to a slope towards Pathankot when it was stopped at the Kathua station in Jammu & Kashmir. According to reports, the train reached a maximum speed of 100 km/h.

Following much work on the part of railway personnel, the unmanned train was halted close to Ucchi Bassi in Mukerian, Punjab. The Divisional Traffic Manager, Jammu, notified ANI that an investigation into the case has been initiated.

An online video of the train has gone viral, capturing moments in which the train is seen speeding past a stop. The freight train was successfully halted close to Ucchi Bassi in Mukerian. According to accounts, it had come to a stop at Kathua Station and had gone without the loco pilot.
