Khandwa: A man was killed by stabbing his wife late last night in the village Takli Mori under Borgaon police post in Pandhana police station area of Khandwa district in Madhya Pradesh. He then attempted suicide by stabbing himself on his neck. On receipt of information of villagers, police reached the spot and took the matter under investigation. According to the police, the dispute between Riyaz Shah, a resident of village Takli Mori and his wife Jamila Bee, 34, took place around 12 pm on Wednesday-Thursday. Riyaz then attacked Jameela with a knife and continued to stab her until she died. After this, he himself stabbed his throat with a knife with the intention of committing suicide, injuring him severely. His eight-year-old daughter was present on the spot at the time of the incident. Hearing the screaming, villagers rushed to the spot and informed the police.
Borgaon Chowki Police of Pandhana police station reached Panchnama and sent the body for postmortem and took the injured Riyaz to the district hospital, where his treatment is going on. The police is currently investigating the case. Police say that preliminary investigation has revealed that Riyaz used to cast doubt on his wife Jamila.
