“Informed Fools: A Video of a Girl Chasing Balloons at a Man’s Bag Angers the Internet on Holi

During Holi, children often hurl water balloons at strangers from their balconies. But is doing it without getting people’s permission acceptable? The internet has recently been split by a video showing a girl hurling water balloons at a guy in spite of his repeated requests not to. Filmmaker Rohan Jain posted a video of the Holi incident he was part in on Instagram.

The video begins with a girl, in spite of his protestations, hurling water balloons at the videographer and his bags. He is seen arguing with the girl’s relatives, who were rooting for her, as the film goes on. In the video, Rohan is heard telling the children that if he asked them to stop throwing water balloons, then they should stop. Nevertheless, the guy on the balcony told him to put his phone in his pocket. Later on, the girl’s father is also seen lending his support. Additionally, the girl is heard rudely cutting off Rohan and her father’s chat and telling them to “sit back at home.”

The whole event is detailed in a lengthy caption by the director. “This girl almost hit my laptop with a water balloon while I was getting out of the cab at my relative’s place,” he wrote, sharing the footage. And even after being asked nicely not to do this, she continues to hurl balloons instead of saying sorry and quitting immediately. Her family is then left to observe and respond by defending and disputing her actions. I was taking my laptop bag, which also had all of my other gadgets, along with all of my baggage, drones, and photography equipment, to my relative’s house in Delhi. Balloons begin hitting my door as soon as I open it and remove my laptop from my designated drop spot. I shut the door, left my electronics and baggage inside the vehicle, gently opened the door, and saw the balloons’ source. I had to remove all of my bags from the taxi, so I asked the girl and her sister very calmly to stop tossing balloons. She responded by shrieking at me and flinging additional balloons in front of her family guardians.

He went on, “I took out my phone and started recording them and they didn’t stop even then after she threw about fifteen or twenty balloons at me and didn’t want to stop with her family shamelessly watching and supporting.” Furthermore, the girl’s real father was unable to accept responsibility for his daughter or even offer an apology for her actions. A couple other neighbors walked out into the street a little while later, expressing their annoyance with the family for striking people and then acting out.

Please don’t raise your kids this way or be like this family.
The video was published by Rohan Jain just two days ago. The post has received over 25 million views since then. Internet users are split on the video. On the other hand, other people gave the filmmaker support, criticized the family, and gave him advise. “It’s not about Holi; it’s a parenting and child welfare issue; at the very least, they should have stopped her by telling her not to throw to strangers. An Instagram user said, “The girl seems very alone and nobody is playing with her, not even her parents. If the family plays Holi with her, she won’t bother strangers.”

It’s very incorrect. The worst situation is when parents encourage their children while they are in error. It’s okay to play Holi and enjoy the celebration as long as you don’t bother other people. Due to the fact that many individuals would be working on that day, not many people will get to enjoy Holi. Though parents or other adults should grasp this, children do not comprehend. Children should be taught at least this much fundamental knowledge, another person wrote.
