New Delhi. Most of the faeces of any organism are cylindrical in shape, but scientists were worried about the discovery of cubic shaped stool in Australia for a long time. Let us tell you that those who study stool are called scatologists. Such scientists were seeing square stool for the last few years. Scientists were surprised that which organism's stool is after all.
After much research, Scatologist David Hu and his American colleagues finally found the cube-like faeces. The creature whose feces is like a cube is found in Australia and Tasmania.
The name of this creature resembling a mongoose is Wombat. This creature is up to one meter long and its weight ranges from 20 to 35 kg. According to scientists, left bats are vegetarians.
Scientists have known that the reason for the square stool is that
the intestines of Wombat are different from the intestines of humans or other animals, that is, their intestines are not round or cylindrical, but their intestines are in two hard and two flexible parts. In such a situation, when the stool comes out of the intestines of this organism, due to the special structure of the intestines, it turns into square or cube shape. The process of digestion of Wombat, which seeks food at night, is also very slow. It takes 8 to 14 days for them to digest food once and have a bowel movement.
According to scientists, an adult Wombat can pass 80 to 100 bowel movements of 2 cm in size during a night. Experts in Australia and Tasmania also believe that Wombats communicate with each other by the smell of their feces. However this is still confirmed.
