See This Funny Response From A Wildlife Photographer When Alligators Obstruct His Cycling Path

Walt Jenkins, a wildlife photographer and criminal attorney, was riding through South Florida’s marshy trails when he came across an unsettling image. During his journey through the trials, Jenkins saw two enormous alligators that were obstructing his path. Still, his response was unexpected. Jenkins, rather than cowering in terror, seemed composed and unconcerned, realizing that the enormous reptiles were, oddly enough, in a “lazy mood.”

“So, this should be fun,” he was heard to remark. The statement was recorded, edited, and posted on Instagram.

Jenkins seemed calm in the video as he tried to find his way back to his vehicle and stumbled upon the reptiles. In the caption, Jenkins reflected on the meeting and said, “Since it was alligator mating season, the big male was my biggest concern.” But after getting the female to relocate and making sure the male was calm, he seized the chance to escape swiftly and safely, avoiding any possible threats. “They have very powerful tail whips, so I did not want him to get up when my bike was next to him,” he wrote.

Jenkins’s cautious approach and consideration for the animals’ behavior ensured a safe conclusion despite the obvious hazards as he made his way back to his vehicle. “I am a wildlife photographer, so this level of wildness is exactly why I was out there,” he said in closing, “but the animals I was actually searching for that day weren’t the alligators.”

With more than 2.5 million views, the video has gone viral. People were shocked by Jenkins’ composed reaction to the alligators’ presence, which caused his video to go viral.

“Go to a different trail where you don’t have to disturb nature,” said a user.

Another person said, “Even the alligators are not safe from cyclists.”

“Missed opportunity for a’see you later alligator,'” someone joked.

One person posted, “Do you desire to die? Now that I can read the headlines: A guy from Florida dares two massive alligators to share a little nature path. Tomorrow night’s services are conducted without viewing. There is nothing left to observe.

Another remark said, “You did a great job, and I’m glad you used the bike to shield yourself as you passed by.”
