Dubai. In the United Arab Emirates, three Pakistani thieves wearing masks attacked a 33-year-old Indian man and stole laptops, mobile phones and some cash from his home, media reports said. Gulf News reported that during a hearing in Dubai's First Instance court on Sunday, the victim Indian alleged that the thieves broke into a house in Bur Dubai area in August and stole several items from there. He alleged that the attackers covered his face with plastic bags and affixed tape to his mouth.
The victim told the court, they wore masks. One of them had closed my mouth and the other attacked with a metal rod. I tried to oppose it but they were holding me back. I pulled off an attacker's mask and saw his face. He said, I somehow managed to remove the plastic bags and tapes and came out of the cauldron. I went to the fellow who was staying and we tried to chase down the attackers.
The news said that the thieves stole his laptop, mobile phone, cash and credit card. It states that a thief has been arrested by the police patrol while two others are still absconding. The news said that Dubai Police has been charged with robbery and assault against a Pakistani thief. It said that the next hearing of the case will now be held on December 9.
