Warning: Fake Delhi Man Arrested After Posing As An IAF Wing Commander To Receive Free Treatment

New Delhi: A guy from Delhi was taken into custody after pretending to be an IAF Wing Commander in an incredibly strange occurrence. The individual took this action in order to get free care at the Delhi Air Force Dental Hospital.

On Wednesday, February 21, 2024, the guy from Delhi attempted to enter the Palam Air Force Station using a forged identification card while claiming to be a wing commander in the Indian Air Force. The Delhi Police have taken the guy into custody and are now conducting more inquiries.

As previously reported, 39-year-old Vinayak Chadda was detained by the Delhi Police for entering the Palam Air Force Station in Delhi by pretending to be an Indian Air Force (IAF) Wing Commander. The accused, who lives in the nation’s capital’s Malka Ganj, was halted by Air Force troops on February 21 after he successfully passed through the first security cone and arrived at the second. After informing the police, he was taken into custody at the Palam Air Force Station. Investigations are still being conducted further.

If you’re wondering why the guy from Delhi assumed the identity of the “IFS Wing Commander,” it was revealed during questioning that he desired free treatment at the Air Force Dental Hospital. So he attempted to use a fictitious identification card to get into the hospital. Five phony identification cards belonging to the accused have been discovered by the police. Sections 467 (forgery of valuable security, will, etc.), 468 (forgery for the purpose of cheating), 471 (using as genuine a forged document or electronic record), 170 (personating a public servant), and 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) have all been applied to Chadda.
