Bihar: An altercation over the immersion of an idol breaks out between two clans in Bhagalpur

On Friday, there was a fight between two groups in the Bhagalpur district of Bihar, which is said to have resulted in stone throwing. The event happened in Bhagalpur’s Lodipur village. According to accounts, the occurrence happened when Goddess Saraswati was immersed in her idol.

In the meantime, the police and local government have managed to stabilize the situation.

Such an occurrence was recently recorded in the Darbhanga district of Bihar. Officials said that after the altercation, there was disagreement on which way to turn the idols on the road, which led to stone-pelting.

They said that a few individuals had minor wounds. The authorities said that during the fighting, other homes were also destroyed.
