Around 25,000 Prohibited Items Are Discovered Daily In Air Passenger Bags: BCAS Head

According to BCAS’s CEO Zulfiquar Hasan, the daily discovery of 25,000 illegal goods in passengers’ luggage requires a significant amount of time from security employees.

He also emphasized the significance of aviation security to the expansion of the nation’s aviation industry.

He stated that travelers should cease bringing forbidden things since it would save time because “we cannot afford to make a mistake.”

At a celebration honoring Aviation Security Culture Week, which runs from July 31 to August 5, the Director General of the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) gave a speech.

Additionally, BCAS has requested that screens in the security check areas not be utilized to show commercial ads; instead, such areas should be used to alert passengers about forbidden goods.

The biggest concerns, according to him, were cyber threats and potential drone strikes.
