Bank Holidays in March 2024: This Month Will See 14 Days Without Bank Operations. Complete List

Bank Holidays in March 2024: Including Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays, banks will be closed for a maximum of 14 days in March. Local holidays will be honored in addition to the national bank holidays. It should be mentioned that Indian banks observe the holidays that are gazetted. Certain banks celebrate local festivals and holidays, however, all banks are closed on state holidays.

March 2024 will have a number of holidays, including Holi and Mahashivratri. Make sure to verify the dates of the holidays to schedule your branch visits if you have any questions about the bank this month.

Holidays observed nationally:

Chapchar Kut (Mizoram) on March 1.

March 8 is Mahashivratri (with the exception of Goa, Bihar, Meghalaya, Rajasthan, Nagaland, West Bengal, New Delhi, Tripura, Mizoram, Tamil Nadu, Sikkim, Assam, Manipur, Itanagar, and

March 25: Holi (with the exception of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Odisha, Kerala, Nagaland, Bihar, and Srinagar)

Good Friday falls on March 29 (except from Tripura, Assam, Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh).

Bihar Diwas is on March 22 (Bihar).

March 26: Yaosang (Odisha, Manipur, Bihar): Second Day/Holi

Holi on March 27 (Bihar)

Frequent Bank Closures:

Every second Saturday starting on March 9

Every March 23rd, the fourth Saturday

Sundays: March 3, 24, 31, and 10, 17.

Despite these restrictions, online banking services will still be accessible throughout the country. On certain days, normal bank branches will not be open; however, ATMs and internet banking will be operational.
