Google Drive Comes With An Integrated Document Scanner This Is How It Operates

For a while now, Android users of Google Drive have had the ability to scan documents and store them as PDFs. But the tech behemoth now made this option available to iOS users as well. For more than ten years, the capability was accessible on Android smartphones, and in November 2023, the tech giant upgraded the document scanner with a few additional capabilities. However users of iPads and iPhones were not presented with the same choice.

According to sources, iOS users will soon be able to rapidly scan documents and upload them to their libraries using Google Drive.

WAYS TO SCAN Documents on iOS Using Google Drive

– Start the Google Drive software.

– Tap the Add button located in the bottom right, and then choose the Scan or camera icon.

– Aim the camera on your smartphone at a paper. The cropping of the picture is shown by the blue lines that delineate the papers.

Select the picture of the document you want to scan by clicking on it.

– Modify the scanned file. If necessary, you may take another picture or alter this one.

– Select “Done.”

– Type in a file name or choose an already-existing one. Another option is to choose ‘Location’ to choose the Drive folder where you want to save the file.

– Select “Save” after saving the completed document.

WAYS TO SCAN Documents on Android Devices Using Google Drive – Launch the Google Drive application.

– Tap the Camera button, located at the bottom right.

– Aim the camera on your smartphone at the document you want to scan.

Take a picture of the paper by clicking on it.

Modify and resize your scanned document to suit your needs.

– Press “Done.”

– You may choose the recommended title or make up your own file name. Select the Drive folder where you want to store the document by tapping ‘Location’.

– Select “Save.”

It is also possible for Android users to add a scanner shortcut on their device’s home screen.
