How did Apple respond when Spotify and YouTube decided not to use Vision Pro?

Update on Apple’s Vision Pro: On Thursday, YouTube said that it would not be developing any new applications for the Apple Vision Pro headset.

Furthermore, at least for the time being, the iPad app won’t function on the device. YouTube recommends viewing videos on the Vision Pro using a web browser.
“YouTube users will be able to use YouTube in Safari on the Vision Pro at launch,” the business said.

The Move of Spotify
Additionally, Spotify is omitting a new app for the operating system of the Vision Pro. Moreover, their iPad app is inoperable on the gadget. Nonetheless, Spotify is still accessible via a web browser. This implies that when the Vision Pro releases on February 2, Netflix, Spotify, and YouTube won’t be available. Interestingly, Apple has positioned the iPhone as a platform for entertainment, gaming, and video.

Apple’s Position
Although YouTube hasn’t said that it won’t support the Vision Pro in the future, according to Apple, it has “no further plans to share at this time.”

To compete with Spotify, the Vision Pro will have Apple’s podcast and music applications. However, upon debut, it lacks certain well-known streaming applications like Netflix, Spotify, and YouTube.

Additional Apps and Placement
There will still be certain applications available, like Disney, Max, Peacock, ESPN, and Amazon Prime Video. In the App Store for the Vision Pro, Apple promises to have over a million titles. Now is the time to place your Vision Pro preorder.

Motives for Not Opting Out
The reasons behind YouTube and Spotify’s absence are unknown. Spotify made its decision for reasons other than disagreements with Apple over App Store guidelines. Additionally, at launch, several apps—like Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp—might not function on the Vision Pro; however, this might alter in the future.
