‘Instant Video Messages’ Will Be Added To WhatsApp Allows users to turn off the video chat feature

WhatsApp New Feature: The business is now allowing beta users to control the video button in conversations using a toggle in the settings after unveiling an ability to send instant video messages on the Meta-owned service. The ‘Chats’ area of the settings has this option, according to WABetaInfo.

According to the report,’some testers’ who upgraded their WhatsApp on Android and iOS via the Google Play Store and Apple App Store now have access to the option. ‘2.23.18.21’ for Android is the beta version, and ‘23.18.1.70’ is the test version, both of which are suitable builds to test the functionality out.

Users may now control the option from the settings using a toggle, as can be seen from the screen capture included in the report. ‘Instant Video Messages’ toggle’s description states, “Lets you tap to switch between using voice and video message.” Users may now deactivate the tap-to-switch feature for instant video messaging in the chat window thanks to the update.

Although the feature was turned on by default, it seems a public option to deactivate it may be coming shortly. Users who want to solely send audio messages and fully disable the video capability may find this option to be useful. A user will still get immediate videos even if the functionality is off.

Speaking of upgrades to instant messaging with video, WhatsApp just introduced the ability to capture and share videos directly from a conversation. Up to 60-second movies may be sent as new messages or answers by a user. To switch to video mode, a user may touch on the voice symbol located at the bottom right of the dialog menu.

The moment a user starts the chat, the videos begin to play automatically. The clip with sound is played with only one touch on the media. They are all encrypted from beginning to finish.
