OpenAI’s chatbot for Android users is now accessible in India and three other nations via ChatGPT

The ChatGPT app for Android has now been released by OpenAI following a pre-order period on Google Play. Currently, the app may be used in a few nations, including the United States, India, Bangladesh, and Brazil.

Open AI tweeted, “ChatGPT for Android is now available for download in the US, India, Bangladesh, and Brazil!” to announce their availability on the Android platform.
People who live in other nations may still pre-order the software since OpenAI intends to make it available in additional places throughout the course of the next week.

Open AI said, “We plan to expand the rollout to additional countries over the next week.”

Although the official ChatGPT app has been there for a while on iOS, the Android release is a big deal because of the greater user base for Android smartphones globally.

With a user-friendly interface designed specifically for mobile devices, the mobile app makes it simple to communicate with ChatGPT as if you were texting a friend. Enter your words in the box at the bottom of the screen, and ChatGPT will answer with suggestions and advise.

If “chat history & training” is enabled on an existing OpenAI account, the mobile app will sync with that account and provide users access to previous chats on all of their devices. Keep in mind that turning on one of these options automatically turns on the other.

The Sam Altman-led startup introduced ChatGPT in November of last year, and it has been accessible on Apple’s iOS system since May. At the moment, OpenAI offers both free and paid accounts.

Users get access to the upgraded GPT-4 big language model as well as more features with a subscription. For Android users, in-app purchases will also be accessible for ChatGPT Plus, the subscription tier. Existing users may easily use their existing subscriptions to access ChatGPT Plus services on Android.
