The government promotes India at IMEX Frankfurt as a year-round travel destination

In order to present India to the international market as a top MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) tourist destination, the Union Ministry of Tourism is taking part in IMEX, Frankfurt, from May 14–16, 2024.

As a center for the international events sector, IMEX provides professionals with a profitable and beneficial chance to grow their enterprises and get priceless insights.

In an effort to combat seasonality and promote India as a year-round travel destination, the Ministry has recognized MICE as a specialized industry.

To this end, the Ministry has included ‘Meet in India’ as a specialized sub-brand within the ‘Incredible India’ promo. By presenting India as an alluring MICE destination with first-rate connectivity, state-of-the-art infrastructure, a thriving knowledge center, and an abundance of unique tourism attractions, this sub-brand seeks to improve promotional activities.

Over 200 meetings were held in 56 locations throughout the country during India’s G20 Presidency, which led to a rise in both domestic and foreign travel.

On a worldwide level, this platform successfully highlighted India’s strong MICE infrastructure as well as its rich cultural and natural legacy.

The Ministry of Tourism is attempting to establish India as a leading worldwide center for MICE activities in order to capitalize on this momentum.

India is now positioned to be a top tourism destination due to significant advancements in internal connectivity by air and land, ease of travel inside the nation, and the development of new infrastructure facilities for holding conferences and conventions.

In the Asia-Pacific area, India is ranked ninth in the 2022 ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association) list of nations.
