You will now just need 500 subscribers on YouTube in order to get money

The Google-owned popular video-sharing network, YouTube, has announced a modification in its qualifying conditions for the YouTube Partner Programme (YPP), which is excellent news for content providers on the platform. The YPP is now accessible to creators after they have 500 subscribers, which is a reduction from the prior need of 1,000.

Additionally, creators just need to accrue 3,000 watch hours as opposed to the prior threshold of 4,000 legitimate watch hours. The requirement for short film views has also been lowered from 10 million to 3 million. The United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Taiwan, and South Korea will be the first countries to adopt these new rules.

Once these artists fulfill the current YPP eligibility requirements and their channel continues to expand, they will automatically qualify for income sharing from commercials and even additional advantages without having to go through the whole YPP application process once again.

According to YouTube, the current qualifying restrictions to enable income sharing remain the same. Additionally, YouTube has unveiled a number of new ways for smaller producers to monetize their content, including paid chat, tipping, channel subscriptions, and shopping tools.

Smaller artists will still need to grow their audiences in order to benefit from ad income, according to the company’s other statement that the same YPP revenue sharing criteria would remain in place.

Additionally, YPP members in the US with a minimum of 20,000 subscribers may now access the shopping affiliate program, which was previously exclusively accessible by invitation to a restricted group of artists. Using the affiliate program, producers may tag goods from other businesses and creators in their videos and shorts and qualify for attractive compensation rates on those purchases.

A new marketplace called Creator Music was launched by the firm in February of this year, giving YPP producers in the US quick access to a constantly expanding library of music that they may use in their films while still earning money.
