Actor Shreyas Talpade’s 2012 apology for stomping on an Om sign

Shreyas Talpade was admitted to the hospital earlier this week after a heart attack and angioplasty. He is being monitored by specialists at the moment, and reports suggest that his status is stable. His health has been under scrutiny, especially after he returned from filming the next movie Welcome To The Jungle.

A previous tweet from Shreyas has come back to life on social media amid this health issue. The actor apologizes in the tweet for inadvertently offending Hinduism. It is said that Shreyas defies the sacred sign “Om” in the accompanying video by stepping on it. It’s important to remember, however, that this deed was a part of a scene from his 2012 film Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal, in which he uses his foot to stop a moving pace so Nana Patekar may pass through.

Because Shreyas wears a crucifix necklace and plays a Christian guy in the movie, the debate has been more intense. Social media users’ opinions have been stirred by this, with some claiming he is unsuited to portray the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee in his next film, Emergency.

In reaction to the criticism, Shreyas said he was sorry for the event and that he didn’t realize the Om symbol was on the pace. His post expressed his regret and emphasized that he would never purposefully hurt someone’s feelings again.

“There are too many variables to consider while shooting, such as one’s attitude during a scene, particularly the action scenes, the director’s demands, the time restrictions, and a variety of other aspects,” Shreyas said in response to questions about the difficulties of shooting. He apologized and said that the action had been unintentional.

Shreyas Talpade is getting ready for his part in Welcome To The Jungle, which stars Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Tushar Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, and Sanjay Dutt, despite the controversy. Christmas 2024 is when the movie is expected to open in theaters.
