Agar acceptance ho chuki hai toh expectations are much greater, says Abhishek Banerjee on Stree 2

After establishing a strong rapport with the public as Jana from Stree, Abhishek Banerjee was able to gain acceptance as an actor. Abhishek began his career as a casting director and went on to play little parts in films such as Go Goa Gone, Rang De Basanti, and No One Killed Jessica. The actor is eager to see how the public responds to him in Stree 2 after receiving such positive feedback for his performance in Stree.

Regarding the follow-up to the co-starring film with Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, Abhishek said, “Stree is a hit franchise.” People are expecting tremendous things this time, and they have accepted them. You become a little anxious because you know that your standards are considerably higher when it comes to acceptance. On the other hand, when quality work is approaching, it’s healthy to feel a little anxious. For the first time, people have seen me in a new light as I appear in a comic book series.

“Stree 2 is going to be bigger and twice as much fun,” he says. Every actor is only somewhat invested in their roles. With Apar (Aparshakti Khurana) and Shraddha, I had a great time. It was a kind of reunion. I said to my fellow actors that, for me, arriving at the Chanderi galiyas brought up additional memories. It was my first movie (in a leading part, no less). First times are also always unique.
The Bhediya actor concludes by providing an update on the status of Stree 2, stating, “We are working on the film’s post-production.” That will take a long time for the VFX. Amar Kaushik, the film’s director, strives for excellence. He continues to work on the movie until he is no longer satisfied. The movie is scheduled to open on August 30.
