Ameesha Patel says she declined roles in Sanjay Dutt’s Munna Bhai, Salman Khan’s Tere Naam, and SRK’s Chalte Chalte because of

The success of Gadar 2 has Ameesha Patel on a high. With the Anil Sharma action drama, the actress’s career was rejuvenated, and audiences praised her acting skills. Ameesha was at the height of her fame when Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, released in 2001, was followed immediately by Gadar 2.

In addition to appearing in the blockbusters Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, Gadar, and Humraaz, Ameesha was also offered a few additional films, which she declined and which went on to become huge box office successes. Ameesha said that she was contacted for Salman Khan’s Tere Naam, Sanjay Dutt’s Munna Bhai MBBS, and Shah Rukh Khan’s Chalte Chalte in an interview with ETimes.

There were several films I couldn’t do, Ameesha stated in the chat. I couldn’t feel sorry since I declined them due of a conflicting date. The actress provided further information about it by stating, “Chalte Chalte was one of my films, Munna Bhai, Tere Naam… there were many reasons I couldn’t do those films because I had already committed (to other movies), and there’s only one Ameesha. You are unable to be everywhere.

The actress said, “It is phenomenal, crazy, and unbelievable; it’s like history is recreating itself all over again,” when asked about her response to the popularity of Gadar 2. Although Tara and Sakina have been a part of the audience for 22 years, it is still difficult to comprehend how much they are loved. This outpouring of affection is really overwhelming.

Ameesha finally said, “Nothing really, but I wish I was the editor,” when asked what she would have changed in the movie. I would have made a few changes to the text and perhaps made it sharper. Gadar 2, which opened in theaters on August 11, has brought in Rs 336 crores.
