Boney Kapoor Speaks Out About ‘Maidaan’ starring Ajay Devgn Surpassing Budget Reports

One of the most eagerly awaited films is “Maidaan,” which stars Ajay Devgn. In the sports drama, Ajay portrays Syed Abdul Rahim, a great football coach. The pandemic and other factors have caused many delays for the film. According to the most recent rumors, the film’s delay was caused by a tight budget and an incomplete filming. Co-producer Boney Kapoor discussed the rumors and provided information about the movie’s status in an interview with Hindustan Times.

“I recently showed some of the film to almost 300 people in Chennai, and they really enjoyed it,” he said. The shooting of the movie is over, but labor-intensive VFX work is still ongoing and consuming time. Despite what some stories claim, there have been no budget overages.

According to rumors, ‘Maidaan’s’ release date will be set next week.

The film is on schedule, and there are no problems, the official spokeswoman for the project said in response to the claims. The movie’s release date is yet to be determined.

According to the same website, a source close to the film’s production team said that the congested release schedule of blockbuster films like Tiger 3, which is scheduled to debut on Diwali, Animal on December 1, and Dunki on Christmas this year, is to blame for the delay in deciding the release date.

The insider said, “Maidaan is a distinct movie with enduring appeal. Similar to Dangal, it is anticipated to develop popularity by word of mouth. Therefore, there is no urgency, and we are taking our time to choose the date.

Ajay is now working on Rohit Shetty’s “Singham Again,” which also stars Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar. It was recently disclosed with the mahurat of the movie. On social media, pictures of Ajay, Ranveer, and Rohit worshipping during the movie’s mahurat quickly gained popularity.
