Cardi B responds to criticism over the identity of the Met Gala designer

Washington, US, May 10: Rapper Cardi B became the focus of controversy after her Met Gala performance. She received criticism for not mentioning her designer’s name and instead referring to him as “Asian.”.

Social media users criticized her remarks from an interview that The Hollywood Reporter was able to secure.

In the course of the conversation, Cardi B—who was wearing a jaw-dropping black gown—was questioned about the designer of her elaborate look.

She was excited about the outfit, but she couldn’t remember the designer’s name, which made others think that she was insulting Sensen Lii, the designer.

Cardi B addressed the issue on Instagram Story in reaction to the criticism, outlining the events that caused her to forget the designer’s name.

She acknowledged that her nervousness and haste on the red carpet were factors in her memory loss.

Cardi B said that her reference to the designer as “Asian” was based on her knowledge of his race rather than his nationality.

The ‘WAP’ singer defended herself by highlighting her stylist and designer’s labor of love.

In spite of the criticism, Cardi B maintained her composure and brushed off rumors that her forgetfulness would prevent her from receiving invites to the Met Gala in the future. She simply said, “Baby, I’m Cardi B.”
