Chiranjeevi recalls receiving a ticket to “Sholay” for his birthday and refers to Amitabh Bachchan as his “guiding force”

The actor and director Chiranjeevi reminisced about how his father Konidela Venkata Rao gave him the “most precious gift” for his birthday: a ticket to the classic movie “Sholay,” starring megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

On episode 43 of the quiz-based reality series “Kaun Banega Crorepati,” which is hosted by the megastar, Chiranjeevi professed his love and admiration for Amitabh Bachchan.

Bachchan’s 81st birthday was commemorated in the latest episode. On the ‘KBC’ set, a video message featuring renowned actor Chiranjeevi was aired.

In the video, Chiranjeevi addressed Amitabh Bachchan with a salutation. I’m delighted to be speaking with you through video. It’s difficult for me to put my love and admiration for Mr. Bachchan into a few words.

Words can’t express how much Mr. Amit means to me. My birthday was on August 22, 1975, and my father gave me the most priceless present. It was a ticket for Mr. Amit’s classic movie “Sholay,” the actor of “Acharya” fame revealed.

He said, “You have always been my compass. In my most recent movie, “Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy,” you graciously agreed to play my instructor.

Chiranjeevi plays the title character in the historical action epic “Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy,” which also stars Nayanthara, Tamannaah, Sudeep, Jagapathi Babu, and Vijay Sethupathi in significant roles.

Both Anushka Shetty and Amitabh Bachchan make cameos. Mohanlal, Kamal Haasan, and Pawan Kalyan provided the narration for the movie.

The movie chronicles Narasimha Reddy’s struggle against the British East India Company’s control.
