Emraan Hashmi used to be superstitious about the numbers 8 and 13, did you know that?

Recently, Emraan Hashmi said that when he first started traveling, he followed a certain pattern while booking hotel rooms. He would give his producers and directors instructions to figure out the room number in digits. If the total came to eight or thirteen, Emraan would not remain in those rooms.
Shriya Saran of Showtime reminisced about their Awarapan days in a recent discussion with Pinkvilla. She painted a picture of Emraan as a lovely, collected person who was quite laid back. When Shriya revealed how he was obsessed with certain numbers, Emraan began to tell the tale of his previous superstitions involving certain numbers.

He acknowledged that he became obsessed with the problem and started acting in an OCD-like manner around the numbers 8 and 13. At first, he thought they were unlucky numbers, telling his directors and producers not to give him rooms with certain numbers in them. But as time went on, he saw that a lot of the good things that happened in his life were connected to these numbers.

Emraan had spoken about his first movie in a previous interview with Indian Express, noting that he started out in the business as a supporting actor. His mother expressed anxiety for him even though Vishesh Films was owned by his family. But because of his possible presence, they chose to give him a chance. Small-budget movies with strong themes, great music, and gifted performers were the starting point of Emraan’s career. These movies started to do well over time, and as a result, the firm started producing small-, medium-, and finally large-budget pictures.
