For the first time, Apoorva Arora attempted method acting in the OTT series “Family Aaj Kal.”

Actress Apoorva Arora said that she attempted her hands-on method acting for the first time in the newly launched OTT drama “Family Aaj Kal,” which is garnering a lot of great feedback.

The actress spoke about how she prepared for the part and how her director, Parikshit Joshi, came up with some bizarre techniques that at first bewildered her but eventually worked really well.

“As a director’s actor, I’m fully committed to realizing their vision,” the actress said. During the preparations for “Family Aaj Kal,” Parikshit used some really unusual techniques that first left me perplexed. However, even though it seemed a little strange, I chose to believe him and follow through. The seminars and homework assignments really helped me understand his methodology.

Sonali Sachdev, Aakarshan Singh, Prakhar Singh, Masood Akhtar, and the late actor Nitesh Pandey are also featured in the program.

“It was my first time diving into method acting, really getting into my character’s head,” she said, speaking about her first experience mastering the craft. I had to give up my favorite activities, including rocking out to music—believe me, those who know me know that I can’t help but groove to a catchy beat.”

“I had to appear as if I didn’t hear the music while we were shooting, exactly like my character who struggled with depression for two years. “I think these in-depth explorations are where the magic happens, molding the character and honing my acting abilities,” she said.

“Family Aaj Kal,” produced by Civic Studios’ Anushka Shah, is available for streaming on Sony LIV.
