The Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) will host this event in Chennai’s Guindy Race Course on Saturday, January 6. According to sources, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan received their initiation from the Tamil Film Association members on Wednesday, January 3. Social media is presently buzzing with this news. According to sources, the TFPC is celebrating the centenary year of late DMK leader and former chief minister of Tamil Nadu, Karunanidhi, as well as his remarkable contribution to Tamil film. The event is called Kalaignar 100. As previously reported, invitations to the event were sent to both actors in November 2023, with the original date of the event being set for December.
The event was previously postponed because of the floods in Chennai brought on by Cyclone Michaungh, which drenched the whole city in December. As a result, the TFPC’s Kalaignar 100 event was moved from Sunday, December 24, 2023, to Saturday, January 6, 2024.
