Recently, filmmaker Kiran Rao spoke candidly about the difficulties she encountered as a result of false information regarding her connection with Aamir Khan. Upon starting a romantic relationship with Aamir, who had previously wed Reena Dutta, Kiran encountered cyberbullying and speculation that she had a hand in the dissolution of Aamir’s first marriage. Kiran confirmed, nevertheless, that she and Aamir were not romantically connected when Lagaan was being made.
Many people believe that Aamir and I clicked on Lagaan, but we most definitely didn’t. During Swades, Aamir and I got acquainted; at the time, he was shooting Mangal Pandey. “There is baggage you bring into a marriage when you marry someone who has been in another relationship; this baggage will have an impact on your relationship. I heartily endorse a couple’s therapy. It turns into a safe space where you can discuss your wants and how you view the other person, and I found that to be very helpful,” Kiran said.
After being married in 2005, Kiran and Aamir co-parenteded their son Azad Rao until their divorce in 2021. Even though they are no longer together, they still get along well, as seen by their recent work together on Kiran’s film Laapataa Ladies, which Aamir co-produced.
