Lesser Known Facts About Chitrangda Singh Include Refusing Three Air Hostess Positions And Divorcing At 39

Chitrangda Singh, who turned 47 on Thursday, is one of Bollywood’s top performers in the acting world. She featured in a small number of films before abruptly disappearing from the big screen. The Sudhir Mishra-directed crime drama Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi marked the star’s acting debut. Along with many others, it included Kay Kay Menon, Shiny Ahuja, Saurabh Shukla, and Ram Kapoor. The tale of three young individuals in the 1970s is told in the film, which is set against the background of Indira Gandhi’s declaration of the Indian Emergency. Both the general public and the reviewers liked the movie. Chitrangda received a lot of praise for her part as Geeta because of her outstanding performance.

Even though her first movie was a smash, she had trouble following up. Ruchi Narain’s Kal: Yesterday and Tomorrow, which debuted in theaters in 2005, didn’t do very well financially. According to reports, the movie made Chitrangda Singh feel depressed and she took a three-year sabbatical from acting.

2008 saw her return with Sorry Bhai! by Onir, her fourth film after a three-year break. Shabana Azmi, Boman Irani, Sanjay Suri, and Sharman Joshi all appeared in the romantic comedy. The movie bombed at the box office, and the actress withdrew herself from the business once again. Rumor has it that since she sometimes avoided the spotlight, her career never reached its pinnacle.

The actress made a second return in 2011, this time with two films. For Yeh Saali Zindagi, which featured Irrfan Khan, Arunoday Singh, and Aditi Rao Hydari, she once again worked with Sudhir Mishra. She also had a role in Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, and Deepika Padukone’s first film as a filmmaker, Desi Boyz, by Rohit Dhawan. At the box office, both films did about as well as they could have.

Did you know that Chitrangda was a popular model before she started acting in movies? She allegedly rejected down three different offers to work as an air hostess.

She married golfer Jyoti Randhawa in 2001, and the couple had a kid together called Zorawar. The couple separated in 2015, when the actress was 39. She last appeared with Sara Ali Khan and Vikrant Massey in the movie Gaslight.
