Makara Chopra criticizes Akasa Air
“The worst airlines to travel with @AkasaAir,” commented Mannara. This is my second interaction with them; the previous time I went, they broke my luggage, and because I’m not feeling well, they ended up being unpleasant once again.”

What the airlines stated
“We regret to hear about your experience, Mannara,” stated Akasa Air in response to her. As far as we know, our staff met you at the airport and gave you an explanation of the extra baggage regulations. We are unable to waive the cost, regrettably. We kindly ask for your understanding in this matter. We also want to address any past issues you may have had. Kindly DM us the information.”

Mannara answers.
“What are you writing, sir? Your staff was acting rudely toward me,” Mannara said. I told your staff this morning that I wasn’t feeling well, and instead of being polite, she responded, “You can go talk to my manager.” Not even your boss showed the courtesy to visit and assess the situation.”

According to Akasa Air Mannara, they requested that the extra luggage cost be waived.
In a lengthy tweet, Akasa Air said, “Hey Mannara, about your journey on aircraft QP 1719 on February 18, 2024, from Delhi to Mumbai, we would like to elucidate the following: 1. Check-in bags that weigh more than the 15 kg limit are subject to extra costs in line with our baggage policy. The amount of checked luggage in this case exceeded the allowed amount, necessitating the excess baggage cost, which was often sought to be waived. Our group asked that you follow airline regulations.”

Additionally, it said, “2. Reservations in advance are required for seating in our front row (A+ seat), and there is an extra price that is non-refundable. Our staff clarified that we were unable to alter a confirmed seat reservation since all front row seats had been booked by other customers. We honored your request and took into consideration your condition by assigning you to an emergency row seat, which is an A+ seat with enough of leg room and comfort.”

About Mannara: In Bigg Boss Season 17, Mannara finished as the second runner-up. The winner of the 17th season of the reality program was announced as Munawar Faruqui.
