Opening Up About Her “Selective Work,” Karisma Kapoor Says It’s “Out of Choice” “I Would Like To Be…”

Actress Karisma Kapoor says she only accepts assignments that she finds intriguing and considers herself fortunate to be able to say “yes” or “no.” The Bollywood star, who dominated the industry in the 1990s and 2000s with hits like “Dil To Pagal Hai,” “Anari,” “Hero No. 1,” and “Raja Babu,” is starring in a special role in Homi Adajania’s dark crime comedy “Murder Mubarak,” which centers on a detective attempting to solve a case in an upscale Delhi club.

“I choose to focus on certain projects. The honest reality is that I like being cozy. That I am in a position or circumstance where I can say “yes” or “no” makes me feel fortunate and grateful. The actor said, “Hopefully, I will complete my work, but it really depends on how I feel,” during the movie’s trailer premiere.

The 49-year-old Kapoor said that while she has had the good fortune to perform “many unusual” roles throughout the years, she really needs to be inspired or driven to pursue it. “I am delighted that the audience still finds enjoyment in ‘Dil Toh Pagal Hai,’ as I believe it was way ahead of its time,” the actress said.

According to the actor, her role in “Murder Mubarak” is that of an actress, “perhaps a dream girl from suspense movies,” but she is also really genuine. “What I found really intriguing and different about her is that, despite her quirky and eccentric ways, she is very human.”

Sara Ali Khan, an actress who portrays a wealthy girl in the film, said that while she and her character share a privileged upbringing, they have distinct perspectives on life.

The reason, in my opinion, is that Bamby is somewhat unaware of her privilege. She just expects things to be that way because she is ignorant of any other options. I believe I understand how privileged I am. I believe that since I deal with people and was raised somewhat more realistically than she was, I may be a little more sensitive than she is,” the woman said.

However, I believe that she is also much more fashionable and glamorous than I am, and as you will discover, she is a kleptomaniac, something that I am not, at least not now. I must admit that I am not. Thus, those are the variations, Sara continued.

Released on Netflix on March 15, the film also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Dimple Kapadia, Vijay Varma, Sanjay Kapoor, Tisca Chopra, Suhail Nayyar, and Aashim Gulati. Maddock Films, owned by Dinesh Vijan, is producing “Murder Mubarak.”
