Santanu Hazarika, the boyfriend of Shruti Hassan, said he doesn’t believe in marriage: “Wherever We Are, We’re Happy.”

Despite being together for a significant number of years, it doesn’t seem like Santanu Hazarika, an illustrator, and her partner, actress Shruti Hassan, will soon tie the knot.

He said, “I don’t believe in the idea of marriage, basically having a name,” in an interview with Hindustan Times. There should be no institutions or restrictions that place artists in a certain box. Matrimony is a very traditional institution. Furthermore, I don’t think such a construct exists since it will constantly change. I’ve never really given marriage much consideration. The only thing that counts is that we are content with where we are.

He said that he cherishes the freedom to defy social expectations. He said they didn’t go for social media recognition, instead letting their relationship grow organically. “We are well-known celebrities and artists who put themselves out there for the world to see, even in terms of our relationship. In my opinion, artists and art are not autonomous entities. My creativity and work are inspired by everything that occurs in my daily life, and vice versa.

The artist said, “I am not affected by how people perceive my personal or professional life,” in reference to trolling on social media. So, I’ve never been concerned by it. I haven’t had any trouble managing the trolling and remarks on social media. What matters most is what my loved ones and others around me have to say. Everything else will simply fall into place apart from that.

Shruti Hassan recently addressed rumors that she was married to Santanu. Once Santanu was referred to be Shruti’s spouse by online phenomenon Orry, alias Orhan Awatramani, rumors that they are married began to circulate. Shruti refuted the allegations on her Instagram Stories.
