Talking about filming the ‘Animal’ wedding scene in the snow with Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna “I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who was in pain.”

Rashmika Mandanna, who last graced the screen in ‘Animal’ alongside Ranbir Kapoor, is receiving widespread acclaim for her portrayal of Geetanjali. The film, featuring Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Triptii Dimri alongside Ranbir and Rashmika, has garnered attention post-release. In various interviews, the actress delved into the intricacies of the film, shedding light on specific aspects.

During a conversation with ‘We Are Yuvaa,’ Rashmika detailed her experiences, particularly highlighting the challenging wedding scene in ‘Animal’ set against the snow-covered landscapes of Manali. Despite the freezing conditions, Rashmika expressed her satisfaction that she and Ranbir Kapoor weren’t the sole sufferers, both donned in unconventional attire. She explained that Sandeep Reddy Vanga envisioned the scene as a portrayal of two youngsters who have eloped and are getting married in an eccentric location, hence the absence of typical winter attire.

However, shooting in the snow presented additional challenges. Rashmika pointed out that the skin tends to appear pale in snowy conditions, prompting makeup artists to apply extra makeup to restore a vibrant complexion. The transition from indoor to outdoor shoots in the snow, with the visibility of blood flow to the face, posed further challenges. Makeup was not the only concern; managing hair in the snowy environment, preventing it from becoming flat, and ensuring it stayed in place throughout the shoot also proved challenging. Rashmika mentioned that constant adjustments to the hair made actors reach for jackets.

‘Animal’ has now made its way to OTT platforms, receiving comparable attention to its theatrical release.
