Tanvi Malhara discusses her involvement with Savdhaan India. Apni Khaki

With her depiction of Pragati Deshmukh, a resolute and furious sub-inspector on Star Bharat’s Savdhaan India Apni Khaki, Tanvi Malhara, the former Miss India Multinational, is mesmerizing viewers.

“It seemed far from my expectations when I auditioned for the role, to be a tough, no-nonsense cop,” Tanvi said. But my enthusiasm for performing exceeded any reservations. Accepting Pragati’s strength required her to face her own weaknesses. There were times when I found it difficult to have Pragati’s steadfast commitment. I noticed that during dramatic situations, I started crying. But I persevered and put myself in her position,” she said.

Tanvi emphasized the value of pursuing goals with unwavering determination. Despite the challenges, my goal has always been to become an actor. In a similar vein, Pragati never backs down from a task, and I identify with his tenacity. I used to depend on other people to make choices for me—men in especially. However, I now see the importance of taking responsibility for my decisions and owning up to the repercussions. Taking charge of your life and following your aspirations without looking back is liberating and inspiring, the speaker said.
