T’gana Polls: 14 Seats’ Candidates Announced by CPI (M)

The CPI(M) in Telangana unveiled their initial list of 14 candidates for the Legislative Assembly votes on Sunday, after their inability to come to a seat-sharing deal with the Congress.

Tammineni Veerabhadram, the state secretary of the CPI(M), will run from Palair in the Khammam district, while Julakanti Ranga Reddy, a former MLA, will run for reelection from Miryalguda.

Reporters were informed by Veerabhadram that the party had already declared its intention to run for 17 seats. According to him, the party is debating fielding candidates for a few additional seats.

On November 30, voting for the 119-member Telangana Assembly will take place.
