She said in an interview, “We were filming the opening sequence of a series at the Kumbakonam temple in 2006. When the elephant suddenly attacked me with its trunk while I was strolling beside it, I was severely hurt. I got seven fractures in my body from the elephant’s assault. Iron rods had to be added, too. I was struck, fell to the ground unconscious, and was found by several folks and background dancers who rushed me to the hospital after saving me. One of the dancers molested me as he was taking me away by placing his hand on my chest.
