Will Ameesha Patel Be in Humraaz 2 with Bobby and Akshaye? “I Was Surely Aware,” She Says in an Exclusive

There are several rumors that Abbas and Mustan will direct a Humraaz sequel in 22 years. The romantic thriller premiered in 2002. The Bobby Deol, Akshaye Khanna, and Ameesha Patel picture has held up well over time, and its soundtrack has become a cult favorite. Following years of debating hundreds of concepts for Humraaz 2, a story began circulating on Wednesday claiming that the director team had finally come up with a screenplay “that’s not just bigger but also better than the first part.” It seems that producer Ratan Jain and Abbas-Mustan are eager to have Bobby and Akshaye return to their roles.

It’s still unknown whether Ameesha will appear in Humraaz’s second installment. Nonetheless, given that she produced a smash hit with Gadar 2 last year, the likelihood of her returning to the genre is rather strong. She said that even though she has been informed about a sequel for a while, she is still unaware whether the writers have locked a screenplay when News18 Showsha contacted her.

“Seeing the news all over a few days ago was really unexpected. Undoubtedly, I knew that the filmmakers and producers were working on a screenplay for Humraaz 2, but I’m not sure whether it’s locked or not. Actually, I learned more about it from a recent media story that said the filmmakers had “cracked some conceptual code,” according to the Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai star.

Beyond this, however, Ameesha made the decision to keep quiet about the sequel. “I think it’s best to leave it to Mr. Ratan Jain, the producer, who will talk about it whenever he feels like the time is right and the makers feel like they’re ready,” the woman said.

Ameesha said she wouldn’t want to wait much longer for her next film given the success of Gadar 2, which ushered her back into the big screen after a lengthy break. Although not much is known about her impending schedule, there are rumors that Gadar 3, which will have her as Sakeena once again, is in development.

Even though it hasn’t been officially confirmed, Ameesha already admitted to us that she didn’t know anything about Gadar 3. It’s premature to discuss it. I have no idea what may occur. As of right now, I don’t believe anybody has given it much attention.

Regarding Humraaz, it was well-received by both reviewers and viewers upon its premiere and focused on themes of love, betrayal, and suspense with hints of crime and conspiracy. The 1989 American film A Perfect Murder, starring Gwyneth Paltrow and Michael Douglas, served as its inspiration. It’s interesting to note that Ameesha was finally asked to take Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ place when it was announced that Humraaz would be her big break. The soundtrack in Hindi was the best-selling Indian record of 2002.
