23 people are dead in Gaza from famine

According to Palestinian authorities, three more children pass away in Gaza’s al-Shifa hospital from hunger and dehydration, raising the total number of documented starvation deaths to 23, as reported by Al Jazeera.

In northern Gaza, hundreds of thousands of Palestinians are living amid the rubble of their houses, without access to power, sanitation, or any other necessities, and they are risking starvation.

Meanwhile, a pallet of supplies that was dropped into Gaza as part of a humanitarian airdrop has struck five people in Gaza, killing them, and injuring ten more, according to The Guardian.

According to Saul Takahashi, an Osaka Jogakuin University professor of human rights and peace studies, the US’s recent efforts to deliver aid to Gaza through airdrops and a maritime corridor are little more than a “Hollywood” show while it continues to arm Israel, as reported by Al Jazeera.

By the beginning of Ramadan, US President Joe Biden said that a truce in Gaza was “looking tough.” The article also said that he expressed fear over violence in East Jerusalem in the absence of a truce.
