23-Year-Old Man Arrested After Indian Woman Stabbed to Death in Croydon, UK

On Sunday, a 19-year-old Indian lady was fatally stabbed at a home in Croydon, South London. The lady was new to the United Kingdom. According to a Times of India story, a 23-year-old guy was discovered at the site and taken into custody by the police. He was taken into custody on charges of killing her. He had a slight head injury, therefore he was admitted to the hospital for a short while.

Police were summoned to the site on Sunday afternoon (4:10pm GMT). The residence where the murder took place is located on Croydon’s residential street Ash Tree Way. According to the Times of India article, the residence is reportedly leased out.

The medics were at the site within five minutes followed by paramedics, two ambulances and a London air ambulance. Armed police officers and a police aircraft were present. It was a mess. A man drenched in blood fled the home. After being brought into custody by the police, paramedics bandaged him and drove him away. A family, who are neighbors, informed the UK-based publication the Evening Standard that the girl from the residence, who was speaking to the police, said she didn’t hear anything since she was chatting to her relatives in India while using headphones.

The newspaper was informed by neighbors that there was “pandemonium,” police were everywhere, and the murder victim’s door had to be kicked open by the authorities.

“Everywhere there were cops, there was chaos. The second neighbor told the news source, “They kicked the door open of the house where it happened.”

The male and lady knew each other, according to a statement from the police, who are also trying to locate and notify the woman’s relatives.

The lady and the guy knew one another. According to a Metropolitan police official, no one else is being sought in relation to the murder inquiry at this time, as reported by the Times of India. On Monday, forensic investigators were seen gathering evidence at the residence.
