52 people are killed and 50 injured in a deadly blast outside a mosque in Mastung, Pakistan.

A horrific occurrence occurred on Friday when a large bomb exploded close to a mosque in Pakistan’s unstable Balochistan region, tragically taking at least 34 lives and injuring 50 more. The explosion happened during a gathering held in the Mastung neighborhood to honor the prophet Muhammad’s birthday.

Atta Ul Munim, the assistant commissioner for Mastung, called the explosion “massive” in size. The explosion happened close to Madina Mosque, where a big throng had assembled to commemorate Prophet Muhammad’s birth anniversary on Eid Miladun Nabi.

The wounded have been quickly taken to medical facilities, according to Station House Officer (SHO) Javed Lehri, and hospitals have been put on emergency alert. Several of the injured were reported to be in serious condition by the government.
