As tensions with Iran increase, Israel is “on alert and prepared” for an attack

Israel is on high alert for a possible strike as tensions between Iran and Israel increase. Israel says it is “on alert and prepared” in case Iran attacks, despite international community advice to stay away from the country.

Israel is “on alert and highly prepared for various scenarios, and we are constantly assessing the situation,” according to IDF Spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari.

Hagari said, “We are ready for attack and defense using a variety of capabilities that the IDF has, and we are also ready with our strategic partners,” at a news conference.

Tensions between Iran and Israel arise from the Gaza War against the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas. After two generals were killed in an alleged Israeli attack on the Iranian embassy in Syria, tensions increased.

Iran “vowed to take revenge” for the seven persons who were murdered, including two generals of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, and accused Israel of carrying out the assault after it happened.

Tel Aviv has not responded to criticism that Tehran and Damascus both blame Israel for the attack.
Israel has halted all military leave for combat troops and bolstered its air defenses in case of an assault.

Additionally, US President Joe Biden said that the US would provide “ironclad” assistance to Israel in the event of an attack and that Iran is “threatening to launch a significant attack on Israel”.
