Due to EU regulations, Elon Musk intends to withdraw the X platform from Europe

In reaction to a new internet platform legislation in the area, Elon Musk, the owner of social media network X, is thinking of eliminating the service previously known as Twitter from Europe, according to news site Insider on Wednesday.

According to a source familiar with the business, the billionaire has spoken of deactivating the app in the area or forbidding users in the European Union from using it.

The Digital Services Act (DSA), which was enacted by the European Union in August, establishes guidelines for a number of activities, including restricting or outlawing certain user-targeting methods and sharing some internal data with regulators and related academics.

An inquiry for comment from Reuters did not get a prompt response from X.
