Following the murder of Khalistani activist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, Canadian police make an arrest

According to Canadian media on Friday, the Canadian Police made arrests in connection with the death of Khaistani activist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, who was based in British Columbia.

On June 18, 2023, Nijjar, 45, was shot and killed in a gurdwara in Surrey after evening prayers. Canadia has claimed to have intelligence connecting India to Nijjar’s death, an allegation that India has vehemently disputed.

According to CBC News, in relation to the Nijjar case, Canadian police have detained members of an accused hit squad.

According to reports cited by CBC News, “Members of the hit squad are alleged to have played different roles as shooters, drivers, and spotters on the day Nijjar was killed.”

According to Canadian media, the guys were taken into custody on Friday as a result of police operations in two provinces.

According to sources cited by the Canadian media, detectives had identified and were keeping tabs on the accused members of the assassination squad in Canada some months before.

According to CBC News, the police planned to reveal the specifics of the investigation and declare the arrests later on Friday.
