Hamas calls Israel’s accusations “unethical” and denies murdering newborns

Hamas has denied any participation in the death and beheading of infants in southern Israel, claiming Western media agencies “adopted the allegations unethically and in an unprofessional manner.”

Basim Naim, a representative of the Hamas communication office, was cited by CNN as stating, “We firmly deny these allegations, we reject this media bias, and we call on media to abide by journalistic code of ethics,” in a video message late on Thursday.

Additionally, the source described the terrorist group’s massive surprise attack on Israel on October 7 as a “defensive operation” and a “internally Palestinian” one.

According to Naim, “the operation was limited to the Israeli military bases and compounds.”

“The top commanders of Al Qassam Brigades, Hamas’ military wing, gave clear orders not to target or murder civilians.”

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) informed CNN earlier this week that terrorists carried out a “massacre” on the southern Israeli kibbutz of Kfar Aza, in which women, children, babies, and elderly people were “brutally butchered in an IS way of action”.

According to Tal Heinrich, a spokesperson for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, infants and toddlers were discovered in Kfar Aza with their “heads decapitated.”

On Thursday, Netanyahu’s administration revealed “horrifying photos” of a baby’s corpse covered in blood as well as two newborns whose bodies had been horrifically burnt.

In the video message, Naim also addressed the prisoners held by Hamas, saying that the captives will be handled “in accordance with our religious values and the principles of international humanitarian law”.

The source was reported by CNN as stating, “We are really concerned that since the Israeli aggression is everywhere in Gaza, they might be the victims of the Israeli army bombardment just like our people.”

Israeli police claim that up to 150 hostages may be being held in Gaza by Hamas terrorists.
