In Chinese Joe Biden Called Xi Jinping’s “Dictator” Remark “Extremely Absurd”

President Joe Biden’s remarks labelling Chinese President Xi Jinping a tyrant have been condemned by China as “extremely absurd and irresponsible.”

Just over a day has passed since Secretary of State Antony Blinken returned from Beijing, where he attempted to mend ties between the two countries that had reached an all-time low.

Biden’s remarks at a fundraiser in California on Wednesday, according to Mao Ning, a spokeswoman for the foreign ministry, “go totally against facts, seriously violate diplomatic protocol, and severely infringe on China’s political dignity.”

“It’s an obvious political provocation. At a daily briefing, Mao remarked, “China expresses significant displeasure and disagreement.

Mao criticised the U.S. comments as being highly ridiculous and reckless.

The purpose of Blinken’s visit, which included a meeting with Xi, was to reduce hostilities between the two superpowers, but it didn’t seem to have had much of an impact.

At the event on Tuesday evening local time, Biden said that Xi was humiliated by the current political controversies surrounding the possible Chinese spy balloon that the Air Force shot down over the East Coast.

“That causes dictators a lot of shame. When they were unaware of what had occurred, Biden stated.

Mao reaffirmed China’s claim that the balloon was accidently blown off course while being used for meteorological research.

“The U.S. should have handled it in a calm and professional manner,” she said. The U.S., however, “fully revealed its nature of bullying and hegemony by distorting facts and using forces to hype up the incident.”
