Mass shooting at a nightclub in Mississippi, United States: 1 Dead, 12 Wounded

One lady was killed and twelve people were injured in a mass shooting that occurred on Sunday at a club in the US state of Mississippi. The incident took place inside Club Oasis in Clay County early on Sunday.

When police arrived, they discovered a deceased 20-year-old woman. Minor to moderate injuries were sustained by the other victims. One guy received a face-shot bullet.

“What is certain is that an advertisement for a party was made, and people from neighboring counties traveled to our county to attend it. Ninety percent of the guests attending the party were from neighboring counties, according to a CNN comment from Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott.

According to the policeman, he had no idea how a firearm got into the club. According to a security officer, they pursued the alleged gunman. According to the witness, the guy was carrying a firearm of some kind. The culprit vanished into the woods after running across a four-lane highway and a parking lot.

According to Scott, the estimated number of persons inside the club at the time of the incident was several hundred. In addition to verifying the numbers, the authorities are attempting to determine if any video was captured inside the club during the incident. “The club is supposed to have security cameras, per our ordinance, but last night, the club owner said he wasn’t working for some reason or another,” Scott added.

No one has been taken into custody as a result of the investigation. It was very stressful last night to attempt to get reliable, accurate information. The cop went on, “With the number of victims and the chaos we had going on, it was very difficult.”

According to the Gun Violence Archive, there have been 66 mass shootings in the US so far this year. A mass shooting is defined by the Gun Violence Archive as one in which the gunman is not the only victim—at least four persons must be shot.
