Nikki Haley, the hopeful US president, warns of a “existential threat” as “China Preparing for War”

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley, an Indian-American, has said that China is “preparing for war” and that it poses a “existential threat” to the US and the rest of the globe.

In a significant policy address on the economy in the crucial early primary State of New Hampshire on Friday, Ms. Haley said that China has spent half a century planning to topple the United States and that, in certain regards, the Chinese military is already on par with the US armed forces.

Her address came two days after that of her Republican opponent Vivek Ramaswamy, an Indian-American who spoke on China’s foreign policy in Ohio. Following former US President Donald Trump, Ms. Haley and Mr. Ramaswamy have both been well-liked GOP contenders.

“Our national existence depends on our ability to be strong and proud, particularly in the face of Communist China. An existential danger is China. It has been planning to defeat us for fifty years,” Haley stated.

She said that manufacturing jobs in America had been grabbed by China.

“Our trade secrets have been stolen. Today, it is seizing control of key sectors in businesses ranging from health to cutting-edge technology. China has transformed from a developing nation to the second-largest economy in the world in an unprecedented amount of time, she said.

“It intends to be the first in every way. The Communist Party’s goals are also obvious. The former two-term South Carolina governor said that they were constructing a sizable, modern military that was capable of controlling Asia and beyond and posing a danger to the United States.

“China’s military is already comparable to the US military in several ways. They outperform us in other areas. The authorities of China are so sure of themselves that they are building a spy facility in Cuba just off our beaches and sending surveillance balloons into our air.

“Let there be no doubt: The Communist Party is gearing up for war. And the Chinese leadership wants to triumph,” she said.

Haley explained her economic strategy, saying it included providing middle-class Americans with genuine relief and financial independence. She said that every middle-class family will get a tax break of thousands of dollars.

Nobody has a greater understanding of how to manage your money than you do. You strengthen our economy by making your own decisions, she continued.

The federal gas and fuel tax will be fully eliminated as a start. Savings on gasoline are 18 cents per gallon and on diesel, 24 cents. That will aid those who are suffering from historically high gas costs.

And to pay for our roads, we don’t need a federal gas tax. With the billions that Washington still has available, we’ll continue to develop our roads and cease diverting funds to environmental giveaways. Road funding should be used to construct roads, not hiking and biking trails, she said.

Ms. Haley said that she would lower income taxes for working people if she were to become president of the nation.

She said that the 500 billion dollars in green energy subsidies proposed by President Joe Biden will also be removed by her government. “No more cash windfalls for China,” she said.

The former US ambassador to the UN said she would reject any budget plan that didn’t restore US expenditure to levels seen before the Covid scandal.

“We’re not discussing expenditure levels from the 1950s; rather, it was just four years ago. During the epidemic, we saw a tremendous – and in many respects, irresponsible – rise in expenditure. The epidemic has ended, however. Maintaining the same outrageous amounts of expenditure is ludicrous, she argued.

“Under my proposal, term limits won’t simply apply to politicians; they’ll also apply to bureaucrats. The maximum tenure for a bureaucrat in one post is five years.

They will become better public servants as a result, staying away from the politics and power grabs that rot our system. And those who aren’t working out need to be fired. Serving in the government is an honor, not a right. No one has the authority to take away your freedom, Ms. Haley said.
