Over 2,600 people have died as a result of the Moroccan earthquake

According to the most recent announcement made by the Moroccan government, the dead toll from the terrible earthquake in Morocco has increased to 2,681 and the number of wounded has increased to 2,501.

The Spanish and British rescue crews have arrived in the community of Amizmiz, which is close to the epicenter. According to the Xinhua news agency, helicopters can be seen flying back and forth between the earthquake-stricken ancient city of Marrakech and other impacted regions.

The hardest-hit mountainous areas are still receiving access to rescue and relief operations.

The supply of fuel and covers is still insufficient.

According to the US Geological Survey, the 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck the nation of North Africa around 11:11 pm local time on Friday at a depth of 18.5 kilometers.
